WORKSHOP AIMS
Globalisation is increasing the need for harmonised measurement, standards and conformity assessment across the Asia-Pacific, one of the world’s largest trading regions. Reliable food analysis and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 are essential for food quality, safety and trade, while proficiency testing (PT) helps laboratories ensure accurate and reliable results. This workshop brings together APFAN and Asia-Pacific experts to discuss current issues, strengthen laboratory proficiency, and provide practical guidance on avoiding common pitfalls in PT participation.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Submission Deadline – 28 August 2026
International Speakers, including from Australia and the Asia Pacific region will present papers at this Workshop, bringing the latest knowledge of food analysis, food science and food technology, technical and management systems for PT and reference materials (RMs) production, guidelines and statistical methods in conducting and interpretation of PT schemes. But most importantly, delegates have the opportunity to present papers and discussion topics themselves to make the Workshop truly participatory.
